A thin cased general purpose bomb.

These weapons consisted approx 55% explosive and were used as general demolition bombs.

Some of the larger bombs were fitted with a Kopfring to impede ground penetration to maximise the blast effect.

In addition some of the smaller bombs in the SC 50 to SC 500 range could be fitted with cardboard "organ pipes" (sometimes refered to as "trumpets of Jerico") which would create a screaming sound as the bomb dropped - this was used a a morale sapping tool against both the military opposition and the enemy's civilian population.

Examples:- SC 50; SC 250; SC 500; SC 1000; SC 1200; SC 1800 and SC 2000
