1 Jul 1941 -Formed at Ludwigslust as part of Luftverkehrsgruppe Ludwigslust.

Equipped with Ju 52s, it flew transport and glider-towing missions on nearly all fronts, but especially the Balkans and North Russia, to supplement the insufficient regular air transport capacity available to the Luftwaffe.

Many of it's Ju 52s were borrowed from other units.

As a provisional formation, this unit was not permitted by regulation to be in existence for longer than 6 months.

31 Dec 1941 - disbanded at Ludwigslust.[1]

This unit was also known as Luftverkehrsstaffel "Adler"
