NSGr 6


18 Oct 1943 - formed from 3rd and 6th Störkampstaffeln of Luftflotte 4 as a stab with two staffeln - 1 and 2./NSGr 6. Aircraft used were Go 145s inherited from the originating units.

17 Apr 1944 - the Gruppenstab was disbanded. 1./NSGr 6 was renamed as 3./NSGr 4 while 2./NSGr 6 was renamed as 3 /NSGr 5.

Sep 1944 – Stab./NSGr. 6 disbanded.

27 Sep 1944 - 1 /NSGr 6 was re-formed at Hohensalza with Ju 87D-3s. At the same time 2 /NSGr 6 was reformed at Grieslienen and also equipped with Ju 87D-3s. Both Staffeln were mainly in action with I Fliegerkorps in the southern sector of the eastern front.

Nov 1944 - 1 and 2 /NSGr 6 were at Grieslienen and flew their operations over the eastern front from there.

5 Dec 1944 - 1 /NSGr 6 was renamed 2 /NSGr 2 and, after moving to Hangelar near Cologne, became part of the Gefechtsverband Hallensleben.

17 Dec 1944 - 1 /NSGr 4 was formed from 2 /NSGr 6.
